Spring Has Finally Sprung in the North East!
Spring is finally here in West Virginia. We have been seeing the trees bud for a while, and the Weeping Willows have been looking great. The grass has been growing quickly; it was hard to cut it on Monday because it was so tall in some places. But, today, we got up, and a lot of the trees and flowers had actually bloomed! We have 3 Bradford Pear trees in our front yard, and 2 Dwarf Plum trees beside our house. We also have an apple tree in the back yard. Everything is out in bloom, making it smell great, and look just as good. I guess it may be hard on those that suffer from allergies, but I love it!
Now, if we can only get a few days without rain, at the same time that I can take a day off and head to the mountains to do some trout fishing! I was hoping to go this weekend, but again, we are going to be having a lot of rain and thunder storms. Looking forward into the the weather forecast, it appears that next weekend may be a good time to head on up to the rivers. I have been dying to get up there (as you well know, if you have been reading this blog all spring). I know its going to be a great time, and that the fish will be biting, since I have had to wait so long to go! It wouldn’t be so bad, but it takes me about 3 hours to get to the good fishing.

I just started using igoogle and have no idea why I hadn’t started using it sooner. I am loving it since I’m reading more and more blogs and it helps keep me updated.
I hope the rain ends soon here too!

I’m starting to get a bit jealous of all you people who live down south (of Michigan anyway). We have the potential to get snow this weekend, and haven’t gotten much above 40 all week.
I’m ready for some flowers!
I probably shouldn’t complain though. When it’s 99 this summer with high humidity I’ll be saying I wished it was colder.

I’m with Kristine. We have the potential for snow as well and Upper Michigan has a chance for a foot or more of snow. I guess I have to look at the positives though and realize that at least I don’t have to mow the grass yet. Crappy Michigan weather.

Yeah, I feel for you all up there in the far north! There is a chance of snow in the WV mountains this weekend, but not down here in the “lowlands”. I am hoping that it doesn’t get cold enough this weekend to freeze the trees that are already blooming…we lost almost all the plums and apples to that last year!
